A Farewell to the Old Flash Dashboard

If you are a longtime user of Floorplanner, you might not have seen much change in the editor or the dashboard over the years. This will be the case for those of you who have been using our old editor, which is based on Adobe Flash, as we haven't made any changes to either the Flash editor or the dashboard and other account pages for quite some time.

In the coming month we will be migrating all our old accounts to the new editor and the new dashboard, and the first step in this process is making the new dashboard pages available to the old Flash accounts.

A couple of years ago we announced the release of our new editor. This development came about as popular browsers began withdrawing their support for the Adobe Flash Player plugin, which the old version of our Floorplanner editor requires. Not only does our new editor not require Flash, but it also has a number of exciting additional features that we are excited for you to discover.

If you are still working with our old editor, you will have noticed a message on your dashboard for a while now giving you a heads up about the old Flash editor being discontinued on March 31st 2020. We are now in the process of migrating all users still using the old editor over to a hybrid dashboard, where you will have the new Floorplanner dashboard whilst still being able to edit your Flash projects in the old editor until March 31st 2020.

Convert to new editor project action Flash projects are indicated in the new dashboard by a red Flash ribbon on the project thumbnail. You can convert your Flash projects to the new editor by clicking 'Convert to new editor' in the thumbnail menu. Projects not migrated to the new editor before 31st March 2020 at 12:00 CET will be migrated automatically.

We have a comprehensive manual for our new editor available in English and Dutch, as well as video tutorials on YouTube.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions for us.
